Welcome to Newburn Parish

Due to Coronavirus all Services are currently on hold. St Michael's, Newburn will be opening for individual prayer from Sunday 5th July 9.30am - 11am. Please see the poster on our blog for details. 

 Please check the blog regularly for all updates.  We are also operating a support system for those who are self-isolating. We are having a virtual morning praise service on Saturdays at 10am. More details are on the blog.


To join other Christians for online worship there are various platforms.

The churches of the parish of Newburn aim to be a:


Community in which all are valued as brothers and sisters in the Lord, sharing

Hope in God’s certain promises demonstrated through the life, death and

Resurrection of Jesus.

In him we find life in all its fullness, life which we aim to

Together as one body.


We are two Churches in one Parish - St Michaels in Newburn (next to the library) and St Marys in Throckley (on the main roundabout) . If you want to find out more about us then have a look around our website or if you have any questions please contact us.
